Dequadin is used locally for oral antisepsis and to relieve pain and inflammation. The tablet has a mottled orange colour and it has a pleasant taste.
Adults and children over 10 years: One lozenge to be sucked every 2 to 3 hours, up to a maximum of eight in one day.
- Indications
For mouth and throat infection, such as:
• Oral thrush
• Sore throat
• Tonsilitis
• Stomatitis
Dequadin may also be used for prevention of infection after tooth extraction.
Elderly
There is no need for a dosage reduction in the elderly.
Side effects from Dequadin lozenges are unlikely but may include:
- Sore tongue.
- Allergic reaction to one of the ingredients.
- Dosage & Administration
One lozenge should be sucked slowly every two or three hours.
The paint can be applied with a cotton bud every two or three hours.
- Storage/Handling Recommendations
Store below 25oC and protect from light.
Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

Irritation or sensitisation may occur. Side effects, allergic reactions have been reported rarely.
