Application Instructions

1. Prepare: Remove the mouthpiece cover and shake the inhaler well.
2. Exhale: Breathe out as much as is comfortable, away from the inhaler.
3. Position: Place the mouthpiece in your mouth between your teeth and close your lips around it.
4. Inhale & Press: Start to breathe in slowly and deeply. Just after starting to breathe in, press the top of the canister to release one puff.
5. Hold: Remove the inhaler and hold your breath for 10 seconds (or as long as comfortable) to allow the medicine to settle in the lungs.
6. Wait: If you need a second puff, wait about 30–60 seconds before repeating the steps.

Proper Usage Tips

• Cleaning: Clean your inhaler once a week. Remove the metal canister and wash the plastic actuator in warm soapy water, rinse, and air dry.
• Prime Your Inhaler: If the inhaler is new or hasn't been used for 5 days or more, "prime" it by spraying two puffs into the air away from your face.
• Spacers: If you find it difficult to coordinate breathing and pressing the inhaler, ask your pharmacist about using a spacer device.

How to Store and Dispose of Aeroline

• Storage: Store in a cool place (below 30°C) away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
• Safety: The canister is pressurized; do not puncture or burn it even when empty.
• Disposal: Keep out of reach of children. Return finished inhalers to your local pharmacy for safe disposal.

Contraindications and Restrictions

• Allergy: Do not use if you are allergic to Salbutamol.
• Heart Conditions: Consult your doctor if you have a history of high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia), or heart disease.

Side Effects of Aeroline

• Common: A slight tremor (shaky hands), headache, or a fast/pounding heartbeat (palpitations). These usually pass quickly.
• Action: If you feel a sudden increase in wheezing immediately after use (paradoxical bronchospasm), stop use and seek emergency medical help.

Precautions and Warnings

• "Reliever" vs. "Preventer": Aeroline only provides temporary relief. If you need to use your reliever inhaler more than three times a week, your asthma may not be well-controlled, and you should see your doctor to discuss a "preventer" (steroid) inhaler.
• Diabetes/Thyroid: Use with caution if you have an overactive thyroid or diabetes.
• Pregnancy: Generally considered safe for use during pregnancy when needed, but always keep your doctor informed.

• Dose Count: Usually 200 metered doses per canister.
• Strength: 100mcg per puff.
• Type: Short-acting Bronchodilator.
