Dosage of Dettol Instant Cool Soap

Dettol Instant Cool Soap is an Over-the-Counter (OTC) product for personal hygiene.

Use daily as required for handwashing and bathing.

Proper Administration

• Route: Topical.
• How to Use:
  1. Wet the soap bar and your hands/body with clean, running water.
  2. Rub the soap between your hands or apply directly to your body/washcloth to create a rich lather.
  3. Lather and rub thoroughly onto the skin for a minimum of 20 seconds to maximize germ killing.
  4. Rinse completely with cool, clean running water to enhance the cooling sensation.
  5. Pat skin dry with a clean towel.
• Best Time of Day: Ideal for use after physical labour, morning workouts, or as a cooling shower soap during the heat of the day.

Missed Dose Guidance

• Not applicable, as this is a cleansing product. Use as part of your regular daily hygiene routine.

Contraindications of Dettol Instant Cool Soap

Do NOT use Dettol Instant Cool Soap if you:

• Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Chloroxylenol, Menthol, or any other ingredient in the soap.
• Have severe, widespread skin conditions or broken skin, as the menthol may cause intense stinging.

• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Dettol Instant Cool Soap is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding as it is a rinse-off product with minimal systemic absorption. Always consult a healthcare provider if you have any concerns.

Side Effects of Dettol Instant Cool Soap

Side effects are generally mild and localized.

• Common Side Effects (Mild and Expected): A very intense cooling sensation or tingling, temporary skin dryness, or slight irritation upon initial use, particularly in sensitive areas.
• Serious but Rare Side Effects (that may require medical attention):
  • Allergic Contact Dermatitis: Symptoms include persistent itching, a severe rash, redness, or a burning sensation that does not subside after rinsing.
