Side Effects of Emzolyn 4-Way

• Common: Daytime drowsiness, mild sedation, a dry mouth, throat, or nose, mild dizziness, blurred vision, or slight stomach grumbling.
• Rare: Paradoxical restlessness or excitability (especially in young children), a mild increase in heart rate (palpitations), or temporary urinary retention.
• Action: Because it contains a sedating antihistamine, never drive a car, operate heavy machinery, or carry out safety-critical tasks after taking your dose.

Precautions and Warnings

• The "Product Overlap" Trap: Carefully check the labels of any other cold caplets, flu tablets, or allergy medications you are using. Do not combine Emzolyn 4-Way with other over-the-counter antihistamines or decongestants to avoid accidental toxic duplication.
• Underlying Conditions: Consult your physician before using if you manage diabetes mellitus, an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), chronic high blood pressure, glaucoma, or an enlarged prostate (which can worsen urinary retention).
