• Time Management: Choose a time you won't forget (e.g., when brushing your teeth at night). Accuracy is vital for effectiveness.
• Vomiting/Diarrhea: If you vomit within 2 hours of taking a pill, or have severe diarrhea, your body may not absorb the hormones. Treat this as a "missed pill."

What to do if you miss a pill?

• If you are less than 12 hours late: Take it as soon as you remember. Your protection should not be affected.
• If you are more than 12 hours late: Take the most recent missed pill immediately (even if it means taking two in one day). Use a barrier method (like a condom) for the next 7 days.

• Blood Clots: Do not use if you have (or have ever had) a blood clot in the legs (DVT), lungs, or elsewhere.
