Contraindications of Orlistat

Do NOT take Orlistat if you:

• Have Chronic Malabsorption Syndrome.

Side Effects of Orlistat

• Serious (Rare): Severe liver injury (symptoms include yellowing of skin/eyes or dark urine) or kidney stones.
• Action: GI side effects are minimized by strictly adhering to a low-fat diet. If you experience severe abdominal pain, consult a doctor immediately.

• Vitamin Absorption: Because it blocks fat absorption, it may also reduce the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K).
