Atadyn is indicated for the relief of nasal and non nasal symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and for the treatment of chromic idiopathic urticaria in patients 2 year of age or older.
Atadyn is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.
Atadyn is used to treat sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, hives, skin rash, itching, and other cold or allergy symptoms.
Atadyn is also used to treat skin hives and itching in people with chronic skin reactions.
Active ingredient: Loratidine
Side Effects
headache;
feeling tired or drowsy;
stomach pain, vomiting;
dry mouth; or
feeling nervous or hyperactive.
Atadyn is consumed with or without food. Swallow the whole tablet of Atadyn with water.
The typical dose of Atadyn for adults is 10 mg once daily or 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mg) of syrup once daily. The usual dose for children is 5 mg (1 teaspoonful) once daily. The maximum dose for adult patients of Atadyn is 10 mg per day. It takes 1 to 3 hours for this medicine to start its action.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to loratadine: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using loratadine and call your doctor at once if you have:
fast or uneven heart rate;
severe headache; or
a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out.
