CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser 473ml is a dermatologist-developed formula designed to improve skin texture without the use of harsh physical grains. This non-foaming, gel-to-foam cleanser utilizes Salicylic Acid to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores, making it ideal for skin that feels "bumpy" or rough (including Keratosis Pilaris). Unlike traditional exfoliating washes, it is formulated with CeraVe’s signature MVE Technology to provide a steady release of hydration, ensuring the skin remains soft and comfortable long after rinsing.
As an Over-the-Counter (OTC) cosmetic wash: Wet skin with lukewarm water. Massage 1–2 pumps of cleanser into the skin in a gentle, circular motion for 60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly. Use once or twice daily depending on skin tolerance.
Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to Salicylates (Aspirin).
Avoid use on extremely thin, compromised, or peeling skin.
Mild tingling or slight dryness during the first few days of use.
BHA can increase skin sensitivity to the sun. Daily SPF 30+ is mandatory.
If excessive dryness occurs, reduce usage to once daily or every other day. If a rash develops, discontinue use and consult a professional.
