CETIDYN is a non-sedating antihistamine as it does not enter the brain in significant amounts, and is therefore unlikely to cause drowsiness. Its side effects are mild to moderate.
However, some people may experience some slight sleepiness, headache, mouth dryness, fatigue, abdominal pain, muscular pain, convulsion, bronchospasm, cough, diarrhea, itchiness, rash, urticaria, skin eruptions, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting.
At the first sign of hypersensitivity, stop to administer CETIDYN and see the physician immediately. If any of the side-effects get serious or if you notice any side-effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist
Active ingredeint: Levocetrizine
Adult: 5 mg orally daily in evening
Children: Infants under 6 months: Safety and efficacy not established
- Infants over 6 months to Children 5 years: 1.25 mg orally each day in evening
- Children 6-12 years: 2.5 mg orally each day in evening
- Children over 12 years: 5 mg orally each day in evening; some patients may respond to 2.5 mg/day
