Take as directed by the pharmacist or physician. The usual dose is one tablet daily, taken at the same time each day for maximum consistency.

Contraindications of Exforge

Do NOT take Exforge if you:

• Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant (can cause serious fetal harm).
• Have severe liver disease, biliary cirrhosis, or cholestasis.
• Have severe kidney problems or are on dialysis.
• Have a history of hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, Valsartan, or other dihydropyridines.
• Have diabetes and are taking Aliskiren.

Side Effects of Exforge

• Common: Swelling of the hands, ankles, or feet (edema), headache, dizziness, or flu-like symptoms.
• Serious (Rare): Severe dizziness, fainting, signs of high potassium (muscle weakness, slow heart rate), or decreased urination.
• Action: If you experience swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, seek immediate medical attention.

Precautions and Warnings

• Hydration: Ensure you stay hydrated, especially in hot weather or during exercise, as Exforge can cause a drop in blood pressure if you are dehydrated.
• Health Checks: Inform your doctor if you have heart valve problems or narrowing of the kidney arteries.
• Potassium: Avoid using potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless advised by your physician.
