Take as directed by the pharmacist or physician. For adults, the standard dose is typically 5ml to 10ml taken every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose stated on the bottle. 

Contraindications of Exdryl

Do NOT take Exdryl if you:

• Have Asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
• Suffer from narrow-angle glaucoma or an enlarged prostate.
• Are currently taking Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) or have taken them in the last 14 days.
• Are allergic to any of the active ingredients or antihistamines.
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding (unless specifically directed by a doctor).

Side Effects of Exdryl

• Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, or dizziness.
• Serious (Rare): Confusion, rapid heartbeat, or difficulty urinating.
• Action: This medication causes significant drowsiness. Avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or consuming alcohol while taking this syrup.

Precautions and Warnings

• Cough Nature: Do not use for a "wet" cough (one with lots of mucus), as suppressing a productive cough can lead to lung infections.
• Children: Consult your pharmacist for age-specific formulations; avoid use in very young children without a prescription.
• Diabetes: Some syrups contain sugar; check the label if you are managing blood glucose levels.
