Gaviscon Peppermint liquid belongs to a group of medicines called reflux suppressants, helping to provide relief from heartburn and acid indigestion. Working by forming a protective layer on top of the stomach contents which prevents stomach acid escaping from the stomach back into the food pipe, which causes pain and discomfort.

This medication is used to treat the symptoms of too much stomach acid such as stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion. Aluminum and magnesium antacids work quickly to lower the acid in the stomach. Liquid antacids usually work faster/better than tablets or capsules.

Ingredients: Each 10ml Dose of Oral Suspension contains 500mg Sodium Alginate Ph Eur, 267mg Sodium Bicarbonate Ph Eur and 160mg Calcium Carbonate Ph Eur as the active ingredients.
