It is a rapid immunochromatographic in-vitro diagnostic device for home use. Specifically it detects the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) (hCG) in urine, which is a marker of pregnancy.
Collect a clean urine sample (often first-morning urine is recommended because the hCG concentration is higher).
Remove the test cassette from its foil pouch and place on a flat, dry surface.
Use the dropper provided (or as instructed) to apply a specified number of drops of urine into the sample well of the cassette. Similar devices say “3 full drops” for example.
Wait the recommended time (for this product: approx 10 minutes) and then read the results window. After a certain time (often beyond the specified reading window) the result may become unreliable.
Interpret the lines: Usually one line = negative (not pregnant), two lines = positive (pregnant). If the control line (C) doesn’t appear, the test may be invalid. (This principle is general for such tests.)
