Dosage of De-deon's Syrup

Take as directed by the pharmacist or physician.

• Adults: 10 mL to 20 mL twice a day.
• Children 6 to 12 years: 10 mL twice a day.
• Children 2 to 5 years: 5 mL twice a day.

Proper Administration

• Administration: Swallow the syrup orally. Use a measuring spoon or cup for accurate dosing.
• Best Time to Take It: Preferably with a meal to enhance absorption and minimize any potential stomach upset.

Contraindications of De-deon's Syrup

Do NOT take De-deon's Syrup if you:

• Drug Allergies: Are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients, including Vitamin B 12, Haemoglobin, or Liver Extract.
• Iron Overload: Have a condition characterized by too much iron in the body, such as hemochromatosis or other iron metabolism disorders.
• Specific Anemias: If your anemia is not due to iron or B 12 deficiency (e.g., severe non-nutritional anemias), consult a specialist.

Side Effects of De-deon's Syrup

Side effects are rare when used at the recommended dosage.

• Common Side Effects (Mild and Expected): Stomach upset or pain, mild constipation or diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. Darkening of stools is expected.
• Serious but Rare Side Effects (Requires Medical Attention): Signs of severe fluid retention or heart issues (Pulmonary edema, Congestive heart failure), itching, a feeling of swelling of the entire body, or nervousness/anxiousness.
• What to do if side effects occur: If you experience symptoms of heart failure, severe or persistent diarrhea, or a widespread allergic reaction, discontinue use and seek professional medical assistance immediately.

Precautions and Warnings of De-deon's Syrup

• Before Starting De-deon's Syrup: Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Since it contains a rich source of iron, its use must be monitored in patients with potential iron accumulation risks.
• Interactions: Although specific interaction studies have not been widely performed, interactions with other supplements containing iron or B 12 are possible. Avoid concurrent use of other hematic tonics unless directed by a physician.
• Breastfeeding: The active ingredients are excreted into breast milk. While no adverse effects have been shown in breastfed infants, use should still be under the supervision of a doctor.
