Dosage of Aristobet-N This is a Prescription-Only Medicine (POM). Take exactly as directed by your physician.

• Typical Dose: 1 or 2 drops instilled into the affected eye(s) every 1 to 2 hours until symptoms are controlled, then reduced to 3 or 4 times daily.

Proper Administration

• Preparation: Wash your hands thoroughly. Tilt your head back.
• Instillation: Gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper above the eye without touching it to the eye or any surface. Squeeze one drop into the pocket.
• Aftercare: Close your eye for 1–2 minutes and apply gentle pressure to the corner of the eye near the nose (the tear duct) to prevent the medicine from draining away.
• Contact Lenses: Remove lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting. Note: Steroid drops are often not recommended for soft lens wearers.

• Storage: Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from light.

Contraindications of Aristobet-N

• Undiagnosed Red Eye: Never use steroids on a red eye without a doctor's diagnosis, as it can worsen viral infections (like Herpes) and lead to blindness.
• Viral/Fungal Infections: Do NOT use for fungal or viral eye diseases (e.g., Shingles, Chickenpox).
• Glaucoma: Avoid use if you have a history of glaucoma or high intraocular pressure.
• Perforated Eardrum: If using for the ear, do NOT use if the eardrum is burst.

Side Effects of Aristobet-N

• Common: Mild stinging, burning, or temporary blurred vision.
• Serious (Long-term use): Increased eye pressure (glaucoma), cataract formation, or thinning of the cornea.
• Action: If you experience severe eye pain or sudden vision loss, stop use and see an ophthalmologist immediately.
