Dosage of E45 Itch Relief Cream

E45 Itch Relief Cream is an Over-the-Counter (OTC) medicine.

Apply to the affected skin 2 times daily, or as directed by a physician.

Proper Administration

• Route: Topical cream (External Use Only).
• How to Use:
  1. Cleanse and gently dry the affected skin area.
  2. Take a small amount of the cream and gently massage it into the skin until fully absorbed.
• Timing: Apply the cream twice daily (morning and evening), or as needed for symptom relief. Consistent application is vital for reducing itching and restoring hydration.

Missed Dose Guidance

• If you forget to apply a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. Continue with your regular two-times-daily application schedule.

Contraindications of E45 Itch Relief Cream

Do NOT use E45 Itch Relief Cream if you:

• Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Lauromacrogols, Urea, or any other ingredient in the cream (e.g., Benzyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol).
• Have acutely red, oozing, infected, or severely inflamed skin lesions (unless the infection has been treated).
• Have acute erythroderma (severe, widespread redness).
• Are applying it near the eyes or mucous membranes.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Warnings

• Pregnancy: E45 Itch Relief Cream is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy, as systemic exposure is negligible.
• Breastfeeding: Use is generally safe. However, do NOT apply the cream to the breasts immediately prior to breastfeeding to prevent accidental ingestion by the infant.

Side Effects of E45 Itch Relief Cream

Side effects are generally mild and localized.

• Common Side Effects (Mild and Expected): A transient burning sensation, redness (erythema), or localized itching, especially if applied to already broken or severely inflamed skin.
• Serious but Rare Side Effects (that may require medical attention):

• Broken Skin: Irritation may occur if applied to broken or inflamed skin. Use with caution.
• Fire Hazard: CRUCIAL WARNING: Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings, etc.) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Do NOT smoke or go near naked flames. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but may not completely remove the hazard.
• Drug Penetration: Urea may increase the penetration through the skin of other topically applied medicines (e.g., corticosteroids, dithranol) if used at the same time. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are using other topical medicines.
• Excipient Sensitivity: Contains Benzyl Alcohol and Cetyl Alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis).
