Dosage of La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum 30mL

La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum 30mL is an Over-the-Counter (OTC) dermatological product.

Apply 3-4 drops morning and/or evening, or as directed by a skincare professional.

Proper Administration

• Route: Topical application to the skin.
• How to Use: Apply 3-4 drops of the peach-coloured gel-serum to the face, neck, and décolleté (upper chest area) after cleansing and toning. Gently massage into the skin until fully absorbed.
• Timing: Can be applied once daily (morning or evening) or twice daily (morning and evening).
  • Morning: If used in the morning, MUST be followed immediately by a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ product.
  • Evening: Apply before your moisturizer.

Missed Dose Guidance

• If you miss an application, simply resume your routine with the next scheduled dose. There is no need to double the quantity applied.

Contraindications of La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum 30mL

Do NOT use La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum 30mL if you:

• Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Melasyl™, Niacinamide, Retinyl Palmitate, or any other ingredient in the serum.

• Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. As the formula contains Retinyl Palmitate (a Retinol derivative), expert guidance is advised. While topical application is generally lower risk than oral intake, it is best to consult your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy.
• Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor. Use is generally advised only after consulting a healthcare professional.

Side Effects of La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum 30mL

Side effects are generally mild and may be related to the exfoliating and active ingredients.

• Common Side Effects (Mild and Expected): Mild redness, temporary stinging, or slight flakiness (due to the exfoliating action of LHA and Retinyl Palmitate), especially during the first few weeks of use.
• Serious but Rare Side Effects (that may require medical attention):
  • Severe Irritation/Rash: Persistent burning, itching, intense redness, or a localized reaction resembling eczema.

What to do if side effects occur:

• For mild, temporary irritation, reduce the frequency of application (e.g., use every other night) until the skin adjusts.
• For severe or persistent irritation, discontinue use immediately and consult a dermatologist or physician.
• Eye Contact: Avoid direct contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse eyes immediately and thoroughly with water.

• Sun Protection is NON-NEGOTIABLE: Due to the presence of exfoliating agents and the nature of hyperpigmentation treatment, daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) is mandatory in the morning, regardless of the weather. Sun exposure can reverse the serum's effects and worsen hyperpigmentation.
• External Use Only: This serum is strictly for external, topical application.
• Avoid Eye Area: Do not apply directly to the eye contour area.
• Discontinue Use: If severe skin irritation develops or persists, stop using the product.
• Non-Comedogenic: The formula is non-comedogenic, meaning it is formulated not to clog pores.
