Contraindications of P-Alaxin TS

• Heart Conditions: Do not use if you have a family history of QT interval prolongation or severe cardiac arrhythmias.
• First Trimester: Not typically recommended during the first 3 months of pregnancy unless specified by a doctor.
• Hypersensitivity: Avoid if you are allergic to artemisinin or piperaquine.
• Severe Malaria: Not intended for complicated/cerebral malaria (which requires IV treatment).

Side Effects of P-Alaxin TS

• Common: Nausea, headache, dizziness, and abdominal pain.
• Serious: Palpitations (irregular heartbeat), skin rash, or temporary decrease in white blood cell count.
• Action: If you experience a fast or irregular heartbeat after taking the medication, seek medical attention immediately.

Precautions and Warnings

• ECG Monitoring: Caution is advised in patients with electrolyte imbalances (low potassium or magnesium).
• Drug Interactions: Avoid taking with other drugs that prolong the QT interval (e.g., certain antibiotics or antipsychotics).
• Vomiting: If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of taking the dose, the full dose should be repeated.
