Dosage of Dynamogen Oral Solution

Dynamogen Oral Solution is a medicinal product subject to medical prescription in many regions.

Take as directed by the pharmacist or physician.

Typical Dosage:

• Children: 1 drinkable ampoule twice daily, preferably taken half an hour before main meals. For severe cases of anorexia or weight deficits, 3 drinkable ampoules per 24 hours may be recommended.
• Adults: Up to three drinkable ampoules per day.

Proper Administration

• Route: Oral liquid (drinkable ampoule).
• How to Take: Separate the ampoule, tear the upper tab by rotating, introduce the ampoule upside down into a glass, and press out the content. Consume the entire liquid content.
• Timing: Preferably taken half an hour before main meals to maximize appetite stimulation.

Missed Dose Guidance

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember before the next meal.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Continue with the next scheduled dose before the appropriate meal.

Contraindications of Dynamogen Oral Solution

Do NOT use Dynamogen Oral Solution if you:

• Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Cyproheptadine, Arginine Aspartate, or any other component of the solution (including excipients like Saccharose or Sorbitol).
• Are a nursing mother or treating premature or newly born children.
• Are children below two (2) years of age.
• Are suffering from severe liver or kidney conditions (use is not recommended, though not strictly contraindicated).

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Warnings

• Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. As a precaution, the use of Dynamogen Oral Solution is not recommended in pregnancy due to the Cyproheptadine content.
• Breastfeeding (Nursing Mothers): This product must not be used by nursing mothers due to its Cyproheptadine alpha-ketoglutarate content.

Side Effects of Dynamogen Oral Solution

Side effects are primarily related to the antihistamine component (Glutodine).

• Common Side Effects (Mild and Expected): Slight somnolence (drowsiness), which usually subsides after continuous use for some days. Dryness of the mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, constipation, or diarrhoea (which may be linked to the Sorbitol content).
• Serious but Rare Side Effects (that may require medical attention):
  • CNS Effects: Massive ingestion, particularly in children, may cause depression or stimulation of the central nervous system, and even convulsions.
  • Allergic Reactions: May include allergic reactions (due to coloring agents like Amaranth).

What to do if side effects occur:

• If slight somnolence occurs, do not drive or operate machinery. If it persists beyond a few days, consult your doctor.
• If you or a child experiences signs of severe CNS effects (confusion, stimulation, convulsions) or a severe allergic reaction (difficulty breathing), seek urgent hospital assistance immediately.
• In case of accidental massive ingestion, induce vomiting after drinking a glass of water and seek hospital assistance.

Precautions and Warnings of Dynamogen Oral Solution

• Drowsiness/Alertness: Be aware of the potential for slight drowsiness. Administer cautiously if the patient is performing tasks requiring mental alertness.
• Anticholinergic Effects: Administer cautiously in aged patients and those with symptomatic prostate hypertrophy or narrow-angle glaucoma, as the anticholinergic effects of Cyproheptadine may be problematic.
• Excipient Warnings: The solution contains saccharose and sorbitol. Diabetic patients and patients with hereditary fructose intolerance or glucose/galactose malabsorption must consider this. Sorbitol may cause upset stomach and diarrhoea.
• Drug Interactions: Do not use simultaneously with MAO inhibitors. Avoid co-administration with other anticholinergic drugs, neuroleptics, tricyclic antidepressants, hypnotics, or major tranquilizers, as this may lead to additive side effects (enhanced drowsiness or anticholinergic effects).
• Alcohol: It may increase the effect of alcohol ingestion. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication.
