Take as directed by the pharmacist or physician. The standard dose is typically one 1.5mg (Sustained Release) or 2.5mg tablet once daily. 

Contraindications of Cardide

Do NOT take Cardide if you:

• Have severe kidney failure or are unable to urinate (anuria).
• Have severe liver disease or hepatic encephalopathy.
• Have low blood potassium levels (hypokalemia).
• Are allergic to Indapamide or other sulfonamide-derived drugs.
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Side Effects of Cardide

• Common: Dizziness, headache, fatigue, or mild muscle cramps.
• Serious (Rare): Irregular heartbeat, extreme thirst (electrolyte imbalance), or severe skin rashes.
• Action: If you experience severe dizziness or fainting, sit down immediately. Consult your doctor if you notice persistent muscle weakness.

Precautions and Warnings

• Diabetes: Indapamide can affect blood glucose levels; monitor your sugar closely.
• Gout: This medication may increase uric acid levels, potentially triggering a gout attack.
• Sun Sensitivity: Use sunscreen, as diuretics can make your skin more sensitive to light.
